Úmrtí v Zemském ústavu pro choromyslné (Kateřinkách) v letech 1911-1925 Abstrakt Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá duševně nemocnými lidmi, kteří zemřeli v ústavu pro choromyslné v Praze na počátku 20. století. Cílem práce bylo analyzovat struktury zemřelých v Zemském ústavu pro choromyslné (Kateřinkách) v letech 1911-1925. Analýza byla postavena především na základě dat z matriky zemřelých 1911-1925. Pro komparaci struktury zemřelých v Zemském ústavu pro choromyslné se strukturami zemřelých v Čechách byly využity rakouské statistiky a Demografická ročenka. Struktury zemřelých byly analyzovány běžnými statistickými, demografickými a geografickými postupy, a to z hlediska pohlaví a věku, rodinného stavu, sociálního postavení, místa narození, místa bydliště, diagnóz (příčin úmrtí), délky hospitalizace a sezónnosti úmrtí. Z výsledků analýz bylo zjištěno, že struktura zemřelých v ústavu je velmi specifická od populace zemřelých v Čechách ve všech zkoumaných aspektech. Klíčová slova: Kateřinky, blázinec, struktura zemřelých, duševní porucha, matrika, 1. sv. válka Deaths in the Psychiatric hospital Kateřinky in 1911-1925 Abstract This bachelor thesis deals with mentally ill people who died in Psychiatric hospital in Prague at the beginning of the 20th century. The aim of the thesis was to analyse the structures of the dead in the Psychiatric hospital Kateřinky in 1911-1925. The analysis was built mainly based on data from register of the dead 1911-1925. Austrian statistics and the Demographic Yearbook were used to compare the structure of the dead in Psychiatric hospital with structures of the dead in Bohemia. Structures of the dead were analysed by common statistical, demographic and geographical procedures, in terms of gender and age, marital status, social status, place of birth, place of residence, diagnoses (causes of death), length of hospital stay and seasonality of death. From the results of the analyses, it was found that the structure of dead in the institute is very specific from the population of the dead in Bohemia in all aspects examined.
