Vycházejíc z koncepce "kontaktních zón" (Clifford 1997) a kritické muzeologie, tato bakalářská práce se v teoretické rovině zabývá otázkou role muzeí ve společnosti a způsobem, jakým se podílejí na vytváření a komunikaci určitého pojetí identity a kulturního dědictví. Konkrétně jsou tyto koncepty zkoumány v případě taipeiského Muzea horkých pramenů v Beitou, původně budovy veřejných lázní z období japonské vlády na Taiwanu. Na základě analýzy stálé expozice muzea a vybraných sezónních výstav práce zkoumá, jakým způsobem je v muzeu prezentováno místní kulturní dědictví a identita. To mj. s ohledem na otázku reprezentace japonského kulturního dědictví, se kterým je Muzeum horkých pramenů v Beitou spojeno, v taiwanském kontextu. Práce ve svém závěru prezentuje zkoumané muzeum a její expozici jako "kontaktní zónu" různých kultur a režimů, lokálních a národních tendencí příznačných pro současnou taiwanskou společnost. Klíčová slova muzeum, kulturní dědictví, identita, Taiwan, Beitou In the theoretical framework of contact zones (Clifford 1997) and critical museology, this thesis deals with the meaning and function of museums in society and their role in creating and communicating a particular form of heritage and identity. Taipei's Beitou Hot Spring Museum, originally a public bathhouse built during Japanese rule in Taiwan, serves as a case study. Analysing the museum's permanent exhibition and seasonal displays, the thesis examines the way the concepts of local identity and heritage are created. The analysis puts a particular emphasis on the role of Japanese heritage the Museum is linked to, and its representation in Taiwanese context. In conclusion, the Beitou Hot Spring Museum is presented as a contact zone of various cultures and regimes, local and national tendencies which can be observed in contemporary Taiwanese society.
