Bakalářská práce si klade za cíl zmapovat profily jednotlivých rabínů působících v Praze v období mezi lety 1870-1938. Jedná se o období, ve kterém proběhlo mnoho změn (demografických, jazykových i politických), jež nadobro proměnily židovskou společnost. V roce 1881 došlo k uzavření ješivy rabiho Arona Kornfelda v Golčově Jeníkově, poslední tradiční ješivy, jež fungovala v českých zemích. I v následujícím období do Prahy přicházejí rabíni, kteří získali vzdělání na tradičních ješivách, avšak nejpozději po příchodu do Prahy jsou konfrontováni s modernizačními trendy. Jedním ze stěžejních bodů práce je přehled biografií jednotlivých rabínů, jenž zahrnuje jejich dílo, náboženský původ či proudy judaismu, které reprezentovali. Předkládaná práce je předběžným nakročením k popisu fungování náboženského života rabínů pražské židovské obce. The bachelor thesis focuses on individual rabbis acting in Prague between the years of 1870 and 1938. This period outstands as crucial for development of Jewish society mainly because of the many changes that took place, such as demographic, linguistic and political. The year 1881 was especially significant due to the closure of rabbi Aaron Kornfeldʼs yeshivah in Golčův Jeníkov which was the last traditional yeshivah in Bohemia. The rabbis who came to Prague in the following years also received their education in the traditional yeshivas, yet after their arrival they were usually confronted with modernization trends. One of the main points of the thesis is the summary of biographies of individual rabbis, which includes but is not limited to their work, religious origin as well as depiction of the movements of Judaism they represented. The thesis could be seen as an introductory point to description of rabbis from Prague Jewish community and their religious existence.
