Cílem této diplomové práce je analyzovat dvě španělské verze Čapkova díla R. U. R. s přihlédnutím k anglické předloze, z níž obě španělské podoby dramatu vycházely. Teoretická část práce se zabývá problematikou nepřímých překladů, dále představuje problematiku metatextů a adaptací pro děti, a nakonec se zaměřuje na téma překladu divadelních her v pojetí Jiřího Levého (1963). Empirická část se věnuje nejdříve krátké analýze R. U. R. s přihlédnutím k vyjádřením, která o svém díle napsal sám autor. Dále se zabývá anglickou verzí R. U. R., jejímž autorem je Paul Selver: objasňuje, jakým způsobem text vznikal, k jakým posunům oproti Čapkovu originálu v něm dochází a jak bylo výsledné dílo přijato. Konečně se tato práce věnuje španělskému překladu Consuely Vázquezové de Parga, která vycházela z anglického Selverova textu, přičemž opět analyzuje posuny oproti Čapkovu původnímu textu na kompoziční a ideovo-estetické rovině i na rovině stylistické. Jako hlavní metodologický nástroj zde posloužila Popovičova (1975, 1983) typologie výrazových změn a posunů v překladu. V neposlední řadě tato práce analyzuje také španělskou adaptaci R. U. R. pro mládežnické divadlo z pera Juana Cervery Borráse. Klíčová slova: R. U. R., Čapek, Španělsko, nepřímé překlady, metatext, adaptace, zprostředkující text, adaptace pro... The purpose of this thesis is to analyze two Spanish versions of Čapek's drama R. U. R. with regard to the English text they both originate from. The theoretical part examines the phenomena of indirect translation, metatextuality (especially as far as adaptations for children are concerned) and translation of theatre plays according to Jiří Levý (1963). In the empirical part, R. U. R. is first analyzed with regard to various quotes the author himself said about his play. Next, Paul Selver's English version of R. U. R. is examined: it is explained how the text originated, what kind of changes it contains in comparison to the original text and how it was received. Finally, the thesis focuses on Consuelo Vázquez de Parga's Spanish rendition of R. U. R., which is a translation of Selver's English text. Again, changes on both compositional & ideological-esthetical level and stylistic level are analyzed. Here, Popovič's (1975, 1983) typology of stylistic shifts and changes in translation was used as the main methodological instrument. Last but not least, the thesis also addresses Juan Cervera Borrás's Spanish adaptation of R. U. R. for youth theatre. Key words: R. U.
