The bachelor thesis deals with the development of the status of women in Iran and Saudi Arabia. The work familiarises readers with the historical background and the position of women during the Arab Spring. The role of women in family life, women's movements and feminism are analysed. Furthermore, the most recent cases related to women's rights are presented. In addition, Muslim women in Europe are characterized, follow the possible development of women's status in Iran and Saudi Arabia. Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá rozvojem postavení žen v Íránu a Saúdské Arábii. Autor uvede čtenáře do historického pozadí a postavení žen během Arabského jara. Je zde analyzována role žen v rodinném životě, ženských hnutích a feminismu. Dále jsou představeny nejaktuálnější případy spojené se ženskými právy. Poté jsou charakterizovány muslimské ženy v Evropě a následuje možný vývoj postavení žen v Iránu a Saudské Arábii.
