Příspěvek podrobněji řeší problematiku vlivu hloubky zářezu, křehkosti kompozitu (definované charakteristickou délkou kompozitu) a blízkosti dru-hého možného koncentrátoru napětí – rohu drážky – na průběh WST pro kvazikřehký krychlový vzorek. Pozornost je soustředěna především na přístup předpokládající kvazikřehké působení materiálu, v závěru jsou výsledky srovnány s přístupem uvažujícím ideálně křehké chování materiálu (aplikace lineární elastické lomové mechaniky, resp. lomové mechaniky obecných singulárních koncentrátorů napětí). Actual results of the numerical study dealing with the minimal notch length for cube-shaped specimens subjected to a wedge-splitting test (WST) made of cement based composites varying in characteristic length are presented. Presented results were obtained using finite element method code with an implemented cohesive crack model and are compared to the approach using theories of both linear elastic frac-ture mechanics and fracture mechanics of generalized singular stress concentrators.
