Abstract: This paper describes the experimental setup for the investigation of the impact load from cavitation bubble collapse on a solid wall. The vapour bubble is generated inside a chamber by localized heating. The bubble collapse is initiated by a piezoelectric actuator. The collapse impact load is measured by PVDF piezoelectric transducer. The collapse is recorded by high speed CCD camera and the pressure inside the chamber is measured by dynamics pressure transducer. The system is controlled by LabView software.
