Diplomová práce má za cíl charakterizovat jednotlivé dokumentární platební instrumenty, zabývat se jejich právní úpravou, vymezit jejich hlavní výhody a nevýhody v souvislosti s financováním zahraničního obchodu, popsat jednotlivé druhy, zúčastněné subjekty a jejich vzájemné vztahy, možný budoucí vývoj těchto instrumentů atd. Na teoretickou část navazuje část analytická, v níž jsou jednotlivé instrumenty porovnány podle zvolených kriterií. Jsou v ní popsány a na základě teoretických poznatků odůvodněny trendy vývoje celkových objemů dokumentárních akreditivů vystavených a potvrzených KB, a.s., ČSOB, a.s. a GE Money Bank v letech 1997 -- 2007 a porovnány poplatky, které si za dokumentárními akreditivy a dokumentárními inkasy účtují uvedené banky. The objective of the diploma thesis is to describe the documentary payment instruments mainly their legal regulation, define their main advantages and disadvantages in connection with foreign trade, describe the types of these payment instruments, define participants of the relationships, the future development of both instruments etc. After the theoretical part the analysis of the documentary payment instruments under chosen criteria is performed. The total volumes of letter of credits issued and confirmed by three czech banks within period 1997 -- 2007 are compared and the trends of their development are theoretically explained. The bank fees regarding to letter of credits and documentary collections are compared as well.
