Abstract: This paper describes the problem of swedish crossword segmentation from images acquired using ordinary smartphone camera. To solve this problem, an image processing and segmentation algorithm is presented. The algorithm is designed as a part of a larger application capable to recognize crossword grid and clues, and solve the crossword using crossword dictionary.
