Práce se věnuje problematice italského dualismu a tzv. jižní otázky. V souvislosti s tím práce zkoumá dva konkrétní programy financování italského jihu, program Cassa per il Mezzogiorno fungující mezi lety 1950 a 1984, a Kohezní fondy Evropské unie, zejména pak období 2007- 2013. Reprezentovány jsou tak dvě roviny, financování vnitrostátní a financování vnější - ze strany EU. Výzkumným záměrem práce je za pomoci kompilace vybraných zdrojů kvalitativně vyhodnotit úspěšnost dvou výše zmíněných programů. Práce nabízí výčet aktivit obou z programů a konkrétní data týkající se jejich výsledků. Téma italského dualismu je aktuální již od dob sjednocení italského státu. Ani přes četné snahy italské vlády o eliminaci či úplné odstranění socioekonomické propasti mezi severem a jihem země se dosud nepodařilo vytvořit na převážně agrárním jihu základy pro jeho budoucí ekonomickou soběstačnost. Práce došla k závěru, že žádnému ze zkoumaných programů se tyto základy nepodařilo položit. Oba ze zmiňovaných programů sdílí několik společných rysů. Pozitivních výsledků bylo v obou případech dosaženo pouze v průběhu implementace programů, v dlouhodobé perspektivě ale nebyly vytvořeny podmínky pro eliminaci socioekonomických rozdílů mezi severem a jihem země. Ukázalo se, že pro vytvoření těchto podmínek je nutné... The bachelor thesis deals with the issue of Italian dualism and the so-called Southern question. In this context, two specific programs of funding the Italian South have been examined - the Cassa per il Mezzogiorno (1950 - 1984) and the Cohesion Funds of the European Union, in particular the 2007-2013 period. Two levels of financing are thus represented - the internal and the external level. The research plan is to qualitatively evaluate the success of the two programs with the method of compilation of selected sources. The thesis offers a list of the activities of both programs, and shows specific data regarding their results. The issue of Italian dualism has been relevant since the unification of the Italian state. Despite numerous efforts of the Italian government to reduce or eliminate the socio-economic gap between the North and South of the country, the foundations for the future economic self-sufficiency of the South have not been laid. The thesis concludes that both of the examined programs share several common features. Positive results appeared only during the implementation period. In the long run, however, no noticeable results have been found.
