V teoretické části se práce zabývá současným vzděláváním všeobecných sester na vysokých školách a náplní studia. Dále se práce zaměřuje na osobnost sestry, komunikaci mezi pacientem a sestrou. Bakalářská práce se dále zaměřuje na problematiku stresu, jeho příčin, reakcí, popisuje základní typy psychosomatických onemocnění, které souvisí s nadměrným stresem. Další problematikou je iatropatogenie neboli ublížení pacientovi ze stran zdravotnického personálu, která může být důsledkem nadměrného vytížení zdravotních sester. Práce se dále zabývá syndromem vyhoření, který může pomáhající profese postihnout. Empirická část byla provedena kvalitativní metodou výzkumného šetření. Na počátku bylo stanoveno 7 výzkumných cílů. The theoretical part deals with the current education of nurses at universities and the content of their studies. Furthermore, the thesis focuses on the nurse's personality, communication between the patient and the nurse. The bachelor thesis also focuses on the issue of stress, its causes, reactions, describes the basic types of psychosomatic diseases that are related to excessive stress. Another issue is iatropatogenia, or harm to the patient by medical staff, which may be the result of overloading nurses. The thesis also deals with the burnout syndrome that can be affected by helping professions. The empirical part was carried out by the qualitative method of the research.
