Tato práce se zabývá místem setkávání Travná od jeho založení do roku 2004. Hlavním záměrem práce je popsat, jaké vlivy působily na setkávání mládeže na Travné a jak setkání ovlivnily. Hlavním pramenem, ze kterého práce vychází, je několik rozhovorů, jež autor vedl s lidmi, kteří jsou s Travnou nějakým způsobem spjati. K jejich uskutečnění a zpracování bylo užito metod orální historie. Díky širokému záběru rozhovorů napříč zkoumaným obdobím se můžeme dozvědět také mnoho z historie mládežnických setkávání. Velký prostor je v práci věnován faráři Adolfu Petrovi, který stál u založení Travné i u mnoha dalších událostí se setkáváními spojenými. Další témata, která autor na základě rozhovorů vyhodnotil pro setkávání mládeže jako důležitá, jsou: různé druhy a projevy zbožnosti, práce na Travné, ekumenická a zahraniční spolupráce, doba socialismu a sociální práce na Travné. Autor se pokouší zařadit setkávání na Travné před rokem 1989 do kontextu ostatních církevních setkávání mladých v Československu. Dění na Travné v 90. letech se pak snaží uvést do kontextu nově se formujícího právního a ekonomického systému. This thesis describes place of encounter Travná from the time of its establishment to 2014. The main aim of this work is to describe what types of influences affected meetings of youth in Travná. The main sources used in this work are several interviews which were conducted with people who are connected to Travná in some way. Methods of oral history were used for the realization and processing of these interviews. Thanks to a wide variety of interviews across the investigated time period, we can find out a lot about the history of youth meetings. A large part of the thesis is devoted to pastor Adolf Petr, who was the founder of Travná and who influenced many other events connected with youth meetings. Other topics which arose from the interviews and which are important for the youth meetings are different types and displays of piety, work in Travná, ecumenical and foreign collaboration, time of Communism and social work in Travná. The author tries to put encounters in Travná before 1989 into the context of other young people church meetings in Czechoslovakia. Events from 1990s Travná are seen in the context of a newly formed legal and economic system.
