Tato bakalářská práce si klade za cíl částečně zmapovat konflikt na Blízkém východě mezi Brity a Osmanskou říší v letech 1914-1918. Představuje čtenáři situaci v Osmanské říši před vypuknutím První světové války, což je důležité pro pochopení celého konfliktu. Dále se zaměřuje především na tři aspekty války a to: sinajské tažení, palestinské tažení a Arabskou revoluci a částečně se zabývá postavou T. E. Lawrence, která je klíčová pro arabskou revoluci. This paper is devoted to partially analyze and map the Middle East conflict between British and the Ottoman Empire in 1914-1918. It contains account of the situation in the Ottoman Empire before the outbreak of the First World War, which is important for the understanding of the conflict. Furthermore, this thesis focuses on three aspects of the war: the Sinai campaign, the Palestinian campaign and the Arab revolt. Thesis also tells the part of the story of T. E. Lawrence, who was key character to the Arab revolt.
