Autorka se věnuje čtenářské soutěži "Vzpomínky na život v Brně a okolí", která je vyhlášena bývalým ˇUstavem pro etnografiia folkloristiku ČSAV v roce 1986 a jejíž výsledky jsou uloženy ve sbírkách EÚ AV ČR, v.v.i. Nejdříve autorka informuje o podobných soutěžích pro čtenáře v cizině a charakterizuje prameny, které v nich vznikají. Poté se věnuje brněnské soutěži a analyzuje její kontext. The author focuses on a public readers´contest entitled "Reminiscences of Life and the Surroundings", which was announced in 1986 by the former Institute for Ethnography and Folklore Studies of the Czechoslovak Academy of Sciences (ÚEF ČSAV) and whose results are stored in the collections of the Ethnological Institute of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic in Brno. First the author provides information about similar challenges and contests for readers abroad and tries to define the sources that originate during these events. Next, she descibes the Brno contest and delves into the contest of its origin.
