Prof. J. Kašpar, the head of the Department of Mineralogy, Institute of Chemical Technological Engineering Prague, was the leading personality in the field of crystal growth in the former Czechoslovakia from the very beginning to the end of the sixties of the 20th century. Prof. J. Kašpar,vedoucí Katedry mineralogie, VŠCHT Praha, byl vedoucí osobností v oblasti růstu krystalů v bývalém Československu od samého počátku až do konce šedesátých let 20. stol.
