Získaná data jsou zpracována pomocí otevřeného kódování a triangulace (rozhovory, dotazníkové šetření, šetření MZČR). Sestry zde popisují jejich původní a nynější motivaci k práci sestry, faktory, které by mohly ohrozit jejich setrvání v tomto povolání, rozdíl mezi představou a realitou a v neposlední řadě charakterizují roli sestry vlastními slovy.
