Cílem této bakalářské práce je definovat zkušenosti s realizací Univerzity pro batolata - programem Ostrov objevů. Dále je tato práce úvodem do problematiky rozvoje a aktivního učení dvouletých dětí. Teoretická část této bakalářské pojednává o specifikách práce s dětmi ve věku 1-3 roky a zaměřuje se především na rozvoj psychické, sociální a kognitivní stránky jejich osobnosti. Dále jsou v práci zmíněny obecné vlastnosti programu Ostrov objevů a v neposlední řadě také způsoby a metody rozvoje batolete, které jsou v tomto programu využité. V praktické části jsem se zaměřila na silné a slabé stránky programu Ostrov objevů z pohledu rodičů a lektorek tohoto programu. The main objective of this bachelor thesis is to describe experience with realization of The Toddler's University, specifically with the Discovery Island Program. The other objective of this thesis is to show the issues of development and active learning of two years old children. The theoretic part of this bachelor thesis involves the specifics of working with children in the age of 1-3 with focus to mental, social and cognitive development of their personality. It also mentions general characteristics of the Discovery Island Program. Third, it talks about methods used in toddlers' development in this program. The practical part shows the strengths and weaknesses of the Discovery Island Program from the point of view of both parents and instructors.
