Kniha je věnována různým aspektům vědeckého výzkumu problematiky sídlišť a sídlištních nálezů z doby římské a stěhování národů na území germánských kmenů severně od středního toku Dunaje a v oblasti Przeworské kultury. Jedna z kapitol je věnována tématu římského vojenského zásahu v období markomanských válek. Svazek obsahuje výsledky výzkumu autorů z České republiky, Slovenska a Polska a přináší nové myšlenky, které na problémy nazírají z hlediska rozličných metodologických perspektiv. The book is dealing with various aspects of research on problems of settlements and settlement finds from the Roman period and the Great migration period on the territory of Germanic tribes north of the Middle Danube and on the territory of Przeworsk culture. One of the chapters is dealing with the theme of Roman military impact in the time of Marcomannic wars. This volume includes the results of the recent research undertaken by scholars from Czech Republic, Slovakia and Poland and presents new ideas looking this topic from individual methodological perspectives.
