Cílem této práce je popsat život v romské osadě na základě literatury a následně jej zachytit přímo v realitě a tyto dva pohledy srovnat. V úvodu se věnuji i obecné charakteristice Romů, kdy pak přecházím na specifika romské osady. V praktické části jsem využila metody kvalitativního výzkumu s technikou pozorování a informace z teoretické části ověřuji přímo v praxi. Klíčová slova: Romové, romské etnikum, romská minorita, majoritní společnost, majorita, romská osada The aim of this work is to describe life in a Roma settlement on the basis of literature and then to capture it directly in reality and to compare these two views. In the introduction, I also deal with the general characteristics of the Roma when I turn to the specifics of the Roma settlement. In the practical part I used qualitative research methods with observation technique and verifying the information from the theoretical part directly in practice.
