Bakalářská práce se zabývá vývojem evropského šermu a jeho praktikováním dnes. Práce je rozdělena na tři části. První část práce popisuje vývoj různých stylů šermu, ať už se jedná o boj dlouhým mečem, tesákem, rapírem nebo jinými zbraněmi. V této části jsou také představeni nejznámější šermířští mistři a jejich šermířské manuskripty (fechtbuchy). Druhá část práce pak pojednává o praktikování evropského šermu v současnosti. Práce v této části představuje HEMA (Historical European Martial Arts) komunitu, její vznik a činnost. Ve třetí části jsou pak na základě rozhovorů popsány rozdíly v chápání šermu podle manuskriptů šermířských mistrů a jejich praktikováním ve filmu a divadle. Klíčová slova: Šerm, bojová umění, HEMA, šermířští mistři, škola šermu Bachelor's work is focused on evolution of european fencing and it's practice today. The work is divided into three parts. First part provides description about evolution of different fencing styles and schools - fencing with longsword, messer, rapier and other weapons. It also aims to present famous fencing masters and their fencing manuscripts (fechtbuchs). In second part, there is a decription about practicing fencing today. This part also presents HEMA (Historical European Martial Arts) community, it's beginning and activities today. Third part od the work provides comparison between fencing techniques of fencing masters and fencing in theatres and cinematography today. This part is based on interviews.
