The Bachelor Thesis focuses on the representation of women in literary texts of Early and High Romanticism. This representation and its particular aspects will be examined based on the analysis of selected texts. For this purpose following texts are being used: Lucinde by Friedrich Schlegel, Zu Bacharach am Reine und Rheinmärchen by Clemens Bretano and Der Sandmann by E. T. A. Hoffmann. The aim of this Thesis is to capture the perception of a woman during that period, and mainly to critically assess the male perspective on approach to a woman. Práce se zabývá obrazem ženy v literární epoše raného a vrcholného romantismu. Na základě analýzy vybraných literárních textů bude zkoumán obraz ženy a jeho jednotlivé aspekty. Texty, se kterými bude pracováno, jsou následující: Lucinde od Friedricha Schlegela, Zu Bacharach am Rheine und Rheinmärchen od Clemense Brentana a Der Sandmann od E. T. A. Hoffmanna. Cílem práce je zachytit vnímaní ženy v daném období, a především kriticky zhodnotit mužskou perspektivu pohledu na ženu.
