Úvod: Svalová slabost je projevem multiorgánové dysfunkce na úrovni periferního nervu i svalu a její závažnost spočívá v tom, že prodlužuje odvyknutí od mechanické ventilace a omezuje rehabilitační možnosti u kriticky nemocného pacienta. Nové přístupy v oblasti léčby kriticky nemocných pacientů dnes spočívají primárně v jejich časné mobilizaci a jednou z možností této časné mobilizace je i funkční elektrická stimulace. Funkční elektrická stimulace dokáže u kriticky nemocného pacienta generovat svalovou kontrakci, což může vést k růstu svalové síly, a tudíž ke snížení svalové slabosti u kriticky nemocného. Přesné efekty aplikace funkční elektrické stimulace však nejsou doposud známy. Cíl: Cílem bakalářské práce je zjistit, zda dokáže metoda funkční elektrické stimulace ovlivnit svalovou atrofii u kriticky nemocných. Pozornost je zaměřena na to, zda doba hospitalizace na jednotce intenzivní péče a doba, kdy je pacient mechanicky ventilován, signifikantně ovlivní výsledek jeho léčby, a taktéž na to, zda elektrická stimulace snižuje ztrátu svalové hmoty u kriticky nemocných. Metody: Literární rešerše s využitím PRISMA (Prefered Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses). Výsledky: Pozitivní efekt funkční elektrické stimulace byl prokázán u 114 pacientů na dobu hospitalizace na jednotce... Introduction: Muscle weakness is a manifestation of multi-organ dysfunction at peripheral nerve and muscle level, and its severity is that it prolongs weaning and reduces rehabilitation options in critically ill patient. New approaches to the treatment of critically ill patient lie primarily in their early mobilization, and one of the possibilities of this early mobilization is functional muscle stimulation. Functional electrical stimulation can generate muscle contraction in critically ill patient, which can lead to muscle growth and reduce muscle weakness in critically ill patient. However, the precise effects of functional electrical stimulation are not yet known. Aim: The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to determine whether the method of functional electrical stimulation can influence muscle atrophy in critically ill patients. Attention is focused on whether the period of hospitalization in the intensive care unit and the time when patient is mechanically ventilated will significantly affect the outcome of his treatment and also whether the electrical stimulation reduces the loss of muscle mass in critically ill patients.
