Ve své práci se pokusím přiblížit tureckou komunitu žijící v Sarajevu. Budu zkoumat nejen motivaci Turků k přesídlení, ale i jejich vztah k bosenskému státu, jejich sociální a ekonomické zázemí, jazykovou praxi i např. volnočasové aktivity. Práce bude rozdělena do tří částí. V prvním celku se budu zabývat historickým vývojem Bosny a Hercegoviny a dědictvím, které zde zanechala Osmanská říše. V druhé části nastíním současné politicko- ekonomické vztahy Turecka a Bosny a Hercegoviny po roce 1995. Toto prohlubování vzájemných vztahů je nedílně spjato s počátkem migrace Turků do Bosny a Hercegoviny. Třetí část bude věnována samotnému terénnímu výzkumu komunity. Tuto problematiku není možné podložit přesnými čísly a oficiálními statistikami. Přestože nedávno byly zveřejněny konečné výsledky tři roky starého sčítání lidu, počet turecké komunity se nedozvíme, jelikož kolonka etnické a národnostní příslušnosti není, kromě třech konstitutivních národů, ve finální zprávě specifikována. Poznatky o komunitě se zakládají primárně na výsledcích terénního výzkumu, jelikož neexistují práce, které by se danou problematikou zabývaly. I will research not only the motivation of Turks to migrate, but also their relation to the Bosnian state, their social and economical background, their uses of language and their cultural habits. The thesis will be divided in to three parts. In the first section I will summarize the historical development of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the heritage that remained in the region after the fall of the Ottoman Empire. In the second part I will outline present political and economical relations between Turkey and Bosnia and Herzegovina, after 1995. The strengthening of mutual relations between these two states leads to the begining of the Turkish migration to Bosnia and Herzegovina. The third and final part will be dedicated to the fieldwork of the community itself. The question of the count of the community cannot be supported by exact numbers and offical statistics. Despite this fact that the results of the last census were posted, the box for ethnicity and nationality only provides an option of three Bosnian constitutional ethnics, excluding all other national or ethnical options.
