Cílem bakalářské práce bylo popsat a zanalyzovat trávení volného času dětí s mentálním postižením z pohledu jejich zákonných zástupců. Jsou zde shrnuty zkušenosti a poznatky zákonných zástupců v této oblasti. Informace jsem získala pomocí kvantitativního výzkumu, s využitím metody dotazování a techniky dotazníku pro zákonné zástupce dětí s mentálním postižením. Ke zpracování výsledků jsem použila relevantní statistické metody. Výzkumu se skrze zákonné zástupce zúčastnilo celkem 185 dětí s mentálním postižením, které navštěvují základní vzdělávání v krajském městě Jihlava. Dotazníkové šetření jsem prováděla na pěti jihlavských školách, konkrétně v základní škole speciální a v základních školách, kde se vzdělávají žáci s mentálním postižením. Z výsledků výzkumu je patrné, že není zcela běžné, aby děti využívaly nabídku zájmových činností ve škole i mimo školu, ačkoliv zájmové kroužky ve škole navštěvují děti častěji než volnočasové aktivity mimo školu. Nejvíce preferované jsou pak zájmové aktivity z oblasti tělovýchovy a sportu, popř. rukodělné činnosti. Děti také využívají nabídku sociálních služeb nabízené Oblastní charitou Jihlava. Z hlediska stupně mentálního postižení využívají děti s lehkým mentálním postižením více běžnou nabídku volnočasových aktivit než děti se středně těžkým a těžkým mentálním postižením. Pokud mají děti možnost samy se rozhodnout o zvolené činnosti, věnují se nejčastěji komunikačním médiím a IT technice. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to describe and analyze leisure time activities of mentally disabled children from the point of view of their legal guardians. It summarizes the experiences and knowledge of legal guardians in this field. I got the information from quantitative research, with the help of using the questioning method and the techniques of questionnaires for legal guardians of the mentally disabled children. To process the results, I used relevant statistic methods. The participants were (with their legal guardians consent) 185 mentally disabled children, who attend primary schools in the Vysočina region's capital - Jihlava. I did the questionnaire research at five schools in Jihlava, particularly at the primary school for pupils with special needs and at primary schools, which are attended by pupils with mental disability. The results of the research show, that it is not very common for children to use the offer of extracurricular activities at school and after school, even though the activities at school are attended more often than the activities taking place elsewhere and after school. The most preferred activities are sports and crafts. The children also use the offer of social services, which is offered by Regional charity Jihlava. As far as the levels of mental disabilities are concerned, the children with mild mental disability tend to use the offer of extracurricular activities more than children with moderate mental disability or severe mental disability. In case the children themselves can choose what they want to do, they most often want to engage with communication media and IT.
