Hlavním tématem této teoreticko-praktické práce je mezní typ grafické techniky monotyp. Problematika monotypu je zde zaměřena na historický vývoj této techniky a její metody, přičemž je čtenář nejprve obeznámen s její obecnou charakteristikou. Teoretická část si klade za cíl jednak podat čtenářům ucelené informace o této technice, jednak zjistit, zda je na monotyp pohlíženo spíše jako na techniku malířskou či grafickou, a které období bylo pro monotyp nejstěžejnější. Praktická část práce je věnována tvorbě autorské knihy na téma chaos, za využití inspiračních zdrojů techniky monotypu, za účelem prohloubení poznatků o této technice. The main topic of this theoretical-practical thesis is the defining graphic printing technique monotype. With details of the historical development of monotype and its methods, along with its general characteristics covered in depth. The theoretical part aims firstly to present comprehensive information about this technique. Followed by whether monotype is seen as a technique of painting or graphics. Lastly showing which period from the monotype history was the most important to the development of this technique. The practical part of the thesis is devoted to the process of making the author's book titled "chaos", taking inspiration from the theoretical topics in order to develop a deeper understanding of this technique.
