Tato diplomová práce se zaměřuje na vývoj tradiční podoby akademických oděvů a její promítnutí v pojetí mladšího designu v průběhu 20.21. století v České republice. Teoretická část podává informace o obecné historii a původu evropských akademických oděvů, zamýšlí se nad přístupy v současné tvorbě talárů a porovnává vlastnosti používaných textilních materiálů. Je zde popsán současný stav akademických oděvů vybraných českých univerzit a jejich některých fakult. V praktické části se diplomová práce zabývá kritérii a požadavky na podobu nových talárů pro Pedagogickou fakultu Jihočeské univerzity a jsou zde uvedeny jednotlivé kroky postupu při tvorbě návrhů a střihových řešení. Diplomová práce obsahuje rozsáhlou obrazovou přílohu, zejména fotodokumentaci talárů s insigniemi vybraných univerzit. Focus of this Master Thesis is evolution of the traditional form of academic clothing and its projection in the concept of younger design during the 20th and 21st century in the Czech Republic. The theoretical part deals with general history and origin of European academic gowns. The features of textile materials are compared here. Then the descriptions of current designs of academic clothing at selected universities in the Czech Republic are presented. The practical part deals with design of new academic gowns for The Faculty of Education of the University of South Bohemia. There is an extensive photographic documentation at the end of the thesis.
