Práce se zabývá možnostmi pastorace seniorů a snaží se ukázat její význam pro starého člověka. Také zdůrazňuje, že pastorace může být jedním ze způsobů, jak pomoci seniorům považovat své stáří za dobré. Pastorace je zároveň součástí péče o duchovní potřeby seniorů, kteří je mohou díky pastoraci lépe naplňovat. Práce se zároveň snaží poukázat na to, že církev pamatuje na konání pastorační péče o seniory, což dokládají vybrané církevní dokumenty. The thesis deals with the possibilites of pastoral care of the elderly and attempts to outline its significance for an elderly persob. It also emphasizes that pastral care may be a way how to help old people to consider their age as decent. Spiritual needs of seniors can also be better met through the pastoral care. By chosen ecclesiastical documents, the thesis also tries to demonstrate how the Church maintain the pastoral care of seniors, however the rality is often different.
