In the article, the results of the biorthogonal decomposition of a 2D TR PIV data of a jet impinging into a trough cavity, are presented. The obtained spatiotemporal structure is shown and its physical meaning is clearly explained. V článku jsou předloženy výsledky biortogonální dekompozice 2D TR PIV dat, naměřených na případu rovinného paprsku vstřikovaného do korýtkové kavity. Je ukázána získaná prostoročasová struktura a je vysvětlen její fyzikální význam.
