cze Abstract:
The analysis of the journal Československá samostatnost (Czechoslovak Independence) focuses on issues related to constituent values of the Czech society during the World War I. This periodical was the main press organ of the Czechoslovak independence movement abroad and the resulting scale of values illuminates its views. The study pays attention to constituent as well as instrumental values. It explores values, which Czech society accepted as immanent, which had been determined by the war situation.
