Hlavním cílem této práce bylo zjistit specifika ošetřovatelské péče v přístupu k pacientům s apalickým syndromem a pacientům v terminálním stádiu života. Ve spojitosti s tímto cílem bylo stanoveno osm výzkumných otázek, zaměřených na vybraná specifika. Empirická část bakalářské práce byla zpracována prostřednictvím kvalitativního výzkumného šetření, které bylo provedeno formou polostrukturovaného rozhovoru, který se následně dělil do dvou částí. První část byla zaměřená na otázky týkající se pacientů v apalickém syndromu a v druhé části byla změřena na pacienty v terminálním stádiu života. Získané výsledky byly zpracovány metodou otevřeného kódování. Výzkumný soubor tvořily sestry z interní jednotky intenzivní péče, dále z lůžkového hospice, z oddělení následné péče JIP a také z oddělení ARO. Výsledky práce, jež byly analyzovány a následně kategorizovány, přinesly zajímavá zjištění, na základě nichž jsme došli k závěru, že pro sestry je péče o obě komparační skupiny velice fyzicky i psychicky náročná. Zdá se, že analýza výsledků je shodná s jinými studiemi, neboť i my jsme zjistili, že sestry identifikují specifika ošetřovatelské péče u pacientů v apalickém syndromu zejména v oblasti hygienické péče, výživy a komunikace. Pacientům v terminálním stádiu se navíc dostává klidu, ticha a důstojného konce života. Bakalářská práce byla psána tak, aby přinesla přehled mezi specifiky péče o pacienty v apalickém syndromu a pacienty v terminálním stádiu života. Výsledkem výzkumu naší bakalářské práce je informační materiál, který slouží nejen pro sestry, rodiny pacientů, ale i laickou veřejnost. The main goal of this thesis was to discover the specifics of nursing care caring for apallic syndrome patients as well as terminal patients. In connection with this objective, eight research questions were addressed, focusing on the selected specifics. The empirical portion of the bachelor thesis was achieved through a qualitative research done in the the form of semi-structured interview which was then divided into two parts. The first part targeted patients with apallic syndrome while the second part adressed terminal patients. An open coding method was used to process obtained results. The research group consisted of nurses from the intensit care unit, nurses from the hospice and ICU aftercare department, as well as the ARO department. The results of the research - analyzed and subsequently categorized - revealed interesting findings, and we came to a conclusion that it is extremely demanding, both physically and psychologically, to care for the two groups. It seems the analysis of the results is consistent with other studies, as we discovered that nurses identify the specifics of nursing care in patients with apalic syndrom, especially in the field of hygienic care, nutrition and communication. Terminal patients are also provided with peace, quiet and to die with dignity. The bachelor thesis was written to provide an overview of the specifics of patient care with apalic syndrome and terminal patients. The result of the research is an informational material that serves not only to educate nurses and family, but also the public.
