Práce se zabývá pojetím, formami a funkcemi mandaly v buddhistické tradici. Zaměřuje se na vyhledání vnitřních rysů mandaly buddhistické, které srovnává s tradicemi dalšími. Dále se zaměřuje na původní dataci a terminologii ohledně obrazce mandaly. V prvních dvou kapitolách pojednává o počátku mandaly, který vychází ze symbolu kruhu a z védských obřadních rituálů. Třetí kapitola se věnuje pojednání mandaly s ohledem na různé tradice, kde sleduje objevující se společné vzorce mandaly a rovněž srovnává pohled východního pojetí s pojetím západním, kde se mandala objevuje ve spojitosti C. G. Junga. Zbylé kapitoly se věnují specifickým formám a funkcím, které mandala zastává v buddhistické tradici. V této práci je rovněž v mandale vypozorovaná obdobná funkce jevící se jako cesty duchovního růstu. The theses is speaking about concepts, forms, funktions of mandalas in buddhism. The main topic is try to find some inner funkcion of buddhism mandala which can be also part of others cultures. So on the theses is trying to find beggings of mandalas and their first nature use, which we can see in symbolism of circle and vedic rituals. Then the theses continue with a view on the mandala in the west and east sides of world. Te west traditions whith of mandala is more conected with a name of C. G. Jung. On the background of the theses is finding some incommon inner function of mandala as path for spiritual growing.
