[cze][eng] Předkládaná bakalářská práce se věnuje problematice profese mužů, všeobecných ošetřovatelů v současné době. Cílem této práce bylo zjistit názor všeobecných sester na roli muže v ošetřovatelství, dále také zda současné podmínky mají vliv na výkon profese všeobecného ošetřovatele a zjistit, s jakými problémy se setkávají muži při výkonu profese všeobecného ošetřovatele. Výzkumné šetření jsme realizovali pomocí kombinace kvalitativní a kvantitativní výzkumné techniky. V rámci kvalitativní techniky jsme použili polostrukturovaný rozhovor se všeobecnými ošetřovateli (10 respondentů), zatímco v rámci kvantitativního šetření jsme použili nestandardizovaného dotazníku předkládaného všeobecným sestrám (101 respondentek). Výběr respondentů byl záměrný. Z výsledků kvantitativního výzkumného šetření je zjevné, že všeobecné sestry vnímají přítomnost všeobecného ošetřovatele kladně a oceňují jeho povahové vlastnosti a pracovní schopnosti. Většina respondentek (72%) souhlasí s tím, že muži patří do ošetřovatelské profese a taktéž uvádí, že pacienti všeobecného ošetřovatele akceptují stejně jako všeobecné sestry (80%). Výsledky kvalitativního výzkumného šetření ukázaly, že většina všeobecných ošetřovatelů je se svojí profesí spokojena, naplňuje je práce s lidmi a pomoc lidem. S odsuzováním za vykonávání profese se drtivá většina z nich nesetkala. Pacienty jsou akceptováni všichni respondenti. Jejich pracovní výkon ovlivňuje kolektiv, stav pacienta, nedostatek personálu a osobní faktory. Během výkonu své profese se setkávají s problémy, jako je psychická a časová náročnost profese, nedostatek personálu, komunikace a některé výkony. Někteří respondenti komentují finanční podhodnocení profese. Závěrem lze uvést, že z výsledků výzkumného šetření stále v oboru ošetřovatelství přetrvává genderový stereotyp, finanční podhodnocení a nedostatek personálu, což jsou faktory, které mohou ovlivňovat nejen počet mužů v ošetřovatelství, ale i kvalitu ošetřovatelské péče.The submitted bachelor's thesis deals with the issue of men who currently work as male nurses. Its objectives were to identify the opinion of nurses of the men's role in nursing, whether the existing conditions had any impact on job performance of male nurses, and what problems men encountered when working as male nurses. Our research was carried out by combination of qualitative and quantitative research techniques. Within the qualitative technique we used a semi-structured interview with male nurses (10 responders) while in quantitative research we used a non-standardized questionnaire answered by nurses (101 responders). The selection of responders was intentional. The results of the quantitative research have shown that nurses perceive the presence of male nurses positively and that they appreciate their personality traits and work capabilities. The majority of female responders (72%) agree that men do have their place in nursing, and they also state that patients accept male nurses in the same way as they accept nurses (80%). The results of qualitative research have shown that the majority of male nurses are satisfied with their job and that work with people and help to people make them happy. The vast majority of them have never experienced any condemnation in relation to the performance of their job. All responders are well accepted by patients. Their work performance is affected by their team, patient's condition, lack of personnel and personal factors. When performing their job they encounter problems, such as psychical and time demands, lack of personnel, communication and certain procedures. Some responders commented on financial undervaluation of their job. We may say that the research has arrived at the conclusion that the field of nursing is persistently facing problems such as gender stereotype, financial undervaluation and lack of personnel, and these are the factors that may affect not just the number of men working in the field of nursing, but also the quality of nursing care as such.
