Abstract: The aim of this thesis was to measure adenosine production from lymph glands in D. melanogaster larvae ex vivo and to assess the differences upon infection with parasitic wasps L. boulardi. The second aim was to investigate the influence of two different nucleotidases on adenosine levels upon gene knockdown of their respective genes with and without a triggered immune response.
