Disertační práce si klade za cíl přehledně dokumentovat celý nevšedně široký rozsah problematiky týkající se architektonického prostoru, včetně jejího historického vývoje. Práce by měla připomenout základní otázky, které si musíme klást při práci s prostorem a uvést základní způsoby přístupu k tomuto fenoménu a upozornit na jejich význam pro celkovou formulaci architektonického konceptu. Na získaném teoretickém základě by pak měly být objasněny elementární geometrické koncepce užívané v současnosti pro vyjádření různorodých konceptů, nebo geometrií, které se stávají samy základním konceptem architektonického díla. Jsou to koncepce, které zásadním způsobem rozšiřují škálu vyjadřovacích prostředků architektury. Dissertation aims to clearly document the whole unique wide range of issues relating to the architectural space, including its historical development. Thesis should remind the fundamental questions we have to ask working with space and basic ways to access this phenomenon and to draw attention to their importance for the formulation of the overall architectural concept. The fundamental geometric concepts should be clarified on the theoretical basis, which are currently used for the expression of diverse concepts, or geometry, which are themselves fundamental concept of architectural design. They are concepts that significantly extend the range of expression of architecture.
