The numerical model of the human cardiovascular system of pulsating type imitating the electrochemical and mechanical activity of the heart muscle was used to the simulation of the antiarrhythmic drugs on cardiac energy parameters. The numerical model developed at the Institute of Thermomechanics CAS gives the information about the antiarrhythmic drugs effects on cardiac energy parameters such as myocardial oxygen consumption, left ventricle stroke work. Cardiac oxygen demand is closely related to the cardiac afterload and therefore major goal of therapeutic treatment by way of antiarrhythmics use is to reduce systemic blood pressure. Numerický model kardiovaskulárního systému člověka pulzačního typu popisujícího elektrochemickou a mechanickou aktivitu srdečního svalu byl použit k simulaci účinku antiarytmických léčiv na parametry srdeční energetiky. Numerický model vyvinutý v Ústavu termomechaniky AV ČR poskytuje informace o účincích antiarytmik na parametry srdeční energetiky jako jsou spotřeba kyslíku myokardem, tepová práce levé srdeční komory. Spotřeba kyslíku myokardem je úzce vztažena k srdečnímu afterloadu a tudíž hlavní cíl terapeutické léčby užitím antiarytmických léčiv je redukovat systémový krevní tlak.
