[cze][eng] Práca primárne pomocou analýzy a interpretácie vybraných diel skúma možnosti prežívania a vnímania času vo svete videohier. Sekundárne si vo svojich analýzach vypomáha existujúcim výskumom zo širokého spektra oblastí od samotných game studies až po sociálne aspekty nových médií.
Každá kapitola prezentuje určitý temporálny fenomén, resp. rôzne temporálne fenomény. Snaží sa nájsť pohľad, akým v kontexte hráčskeho zážitku a interpretácie videohry môžeme vnímať unikátne efekty daného fenoménu, pokiaľ sme s ním konfrontovaní skrz videohru.
Hlavnou otázkou práce sa tak stáva, či videohry ako médium prinášajú na pole debaty o temporalite nové, sebe-vlastné faktory, alebo len rozširujú tie už poznané z iných druhov médií.The thesis is primarily focused on researching the ways of feeling and perceiving time in videogames through analysis and interpretation of chosen works. Secondly, it uses existing research from a broad spectrum of areas from game studies to social aspects of new media to help its analysis.
Every chapter presents a certain temporal phenomenon or multiple temporal phenomena. It tries to find how we can, in the context of player experience and videogame interpretation, perceive unique effects of the selected phenomenon, if we are confronted with it in a videogame.
The main question being asked by the work is whether videogames as a medium bring any new, unique factors to the existing debate on temporality, or just extend those already known from other types of media.
