Práce popisuje a zkoumá kolísání samohláskové kvantity deverbativních substantiv zakončených na -č na pozadí starší oborové literatury, z níž vychází i soubor jmen pro dílčí praktický výzkum. V něm jsou sledovány výskyty krátkých a dlouhých variant jednotlivých substantiv v Českém národním korpusu s přihlédnutím zejména k frekvenci, typickým kolokacím a stylu textů. V závěru jsou shrnuty zjištěné poznatky a je nastíněno několik možností dalšího zkoumání. Klíčová slova: slovesná substantiva, samohlásková kvantita, kolísání kvantity samohlásek, názvy předmětů zakončených na -č The work describes and examines vowel quantity variation of deverbative nouns ending in -č, based on older field literature, which is also the source of the set of substantives for the partial research. In this research, the occurrence of short and long variants of the individual substantives in Czech National Corpus is examined, with focus especially on frequency, typical collocations and text styles. In the conclusion, the findings are summed up and several possibilities of further examination are outlined.
