Lending contagion in multinational banks is studied theoretically and empirically. In the proposed model, contagion arises due to shareholder-manager delegation and precautionary motives. Empirically, more than one half of the multinational banks in our representative sample show signs of lending contagion. Úvěrová nákaza v nadnárodních bankách je zkoumána jak teoreticky, tak empiricky. V navrhovaném modelu nákaza vzniká kvůli delegace řízení z akcionáře na managery a také kvůli opatrnostním rysům investičního chováni. Empiricky, úvěrová nákaza se objevuje v chovani více než poloviny nadnárodních bank ve zkoumaném reprezentativním vzorku.
