Antilopa losí (Taurotragus oryx) patří mezi největší antilopy světa. Základní sociální skupinu tvoří několik matek s mláďaty, dospělí samci se přidávají pouze na období říje. Ve stádě je založena dominanční hierarchie, která eliminuje silné negativní střety především mezi samicemi. Kromě agonistických interakcí probíhají mezi jedinci i afiliativní interakce, které příznivě působí na vztahy ve stádě. Cílem práce je shrnout dosavadní studie zabývající se sociální strukturou a chováním antilopy losí se zaměřením na afiliativní, mateřské a agonistické interakce ve stádě. Experimentální část se soustředí na preference samic pro volbu nejbližšího partnera, zda je výběr ovlivněn věkem, příbuzností či mateřským stavem samice. Data byla získána přímým pozorováním stáda antilopy losí na farmě v Lánech pomocí skanů vybraných samic po 15 minutách. Byly měřeny vzdálenosti mezi nimi a ostatními členy stáda. Rovněž bylo zaznamenáváno vybrané sociální chování jakýchkoli dvou jedinců ve stádě metodou all occurence sampling. Z analýzy dat bylo zjištěno, že nejvíce (98,77 %) interakcí bylo negativních, samice preferovaly bezkontaktní agonistické interakce, tedy hrozbu a ústup. Olizování se mnohem častěji vyskytovalo mezi matkou a mládětem než v jiných skupinách, kde bylo hodnoceno jako afiliativní interakce. Výsledky... Common elands (Taurotragus oryx) belong between the world's biggest antelopes. The basic social unit is created by several females with offspring, males are joining them only in the breeding period. There is a dominance hierarchy in a herd, which eliminates strong negative conflicts mainly between adult females. Except agonistic interactions, affiliative ones are taken place as well, which have positive impact on relationships in a herd. The aim of this work is t o summarize previous studies dealing with social structure and behaviour of common eland focusing on affiliative, maternal and agonistic interaction in a herd. Experimental part is focused on preferences of females for a choice of the closest companion, if the choice is influenced with age, kinship or maternal state of a female. Data were collected through direct observations of a herd of common elands on a farm Lány using 15 min scans of chosen females. Distances were measured between females and all the other herd members. Selected social behaviour of any two members of a herd was recorded using an all occurrence sampling method.
