Tato diplomová práce je zaměřena na zhodnocení výkonnosti podniku ve veřejném sektoru. V úvodu diplomové práce je objasněna současná úloha veřejného sektoru v ekonomice, fungování systému sběru a likvidace odpadu na našem území a možnosti hodnocení finančního zdraví municipálních firem. V aplikační části práce dochází ke komplexnímu zhodnocení výkonnosti municipální firmy pomocí systému ukazatelů, konkrétně Technických služeb Třeboň, s. r. o., což je rovněž hlavním cílem práce. Dílčím cílem je pak doporučit managementu případná opatření, která by mohla vést ke zlepšení hospodaření podniku. To by v konečném důsledku mohlo ulehčit veřejnému rozpočtu města, potažmo zpřístupnit takové rozpočtové výdaje, na které doposud ve vypjatém rozpočtu nebyl prostor, a přispět tak ke zvýšení spokojenosti obyvatel Třeboně. The subject of this diploma thesis is a municipal enterprise performances evaluation. In the introduction part of the thesis there is a literary research aimed on an explanation of the cooperation between public and private sector importance and the description of financial analysis with emphasis on municipal entities distinctions requiring modifications. In the application part both general and specific evaluating methods are applied on particular municipal company operating in the waste disposal field - Technické služby Třeboň, s.r.o. Secondary aim of the thesis is to suggest to company management some improving precautions in order to save public funds and use them more wisely. Performances are compared among business municipal companies and funded organization in this field, moreover there are also described differences between these legal forms.
