Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá rozborem motivů smrti a přírody ve dvou hrách Františka Hrubína – Srpnová neděle a Křišťálová noc. Ve svém bádání se opírám o východiska existencialismu, který se projevuje v autorově poválečné tvorbě. Pomocí tohoto filozofického směru potom analyzuji vztahy mezi postavami Srpnové neděle a Křišťálové noci. V práci jsem objevila tematické a formální podobnosti těchto her týkající se motivů smrti a přírody. In this thesis I analyse themes of death and nature in two plays of František Hrubín – Srpnová neděle and Křišťálová noc. In my research I use claims of existencialism, that appears in author’s postwar work. Using this philosophical trend I analyse the relationship of characters from Srpnová neděle and Křišťálová noc. I discovered thematic and formal similarities between these plays, concerning the themes of death and nature.
