eng Abstract:
The paper deals with the situation of Little Entente at the second half of the 1930s. As the strength of the Nazi regime grew, so the political and economic penetration of Germany into South-Eastern Europe increased. The occupation of the Rhineland demilitarized zone by German troops in March 1936 and the weak reaction of the Western powers had a significant effect upon the subsequent development of Little Entente relations. The paper is focused on activities of Czechoslovak diplomacy, directed in practice by President Beneš, to bolster mutual relations and bind them more closely to France.
