Bakalářská práce se zabývá mezinárodní reakcí na porušování lidských práv v podobě kastovní diskriminace v Indii. Cílem práce je identifikovat nástroje lidskoprávní politiky využité ve vztahu k Indii ze strany dvou významných mezivládních organizací, a to Organizace spojených národů (OSN) a Evropské unie (EU). První část práce je věnována teoretickému vymezení nástrojů lidskoprávní politiky. S cílem hlubšího pochopení zkoumaného problému je ve druhé kapitole představen kastovní systém v Indii a indická legislativa týkající se kastovní diskriminace. V dalších kapitolách se práce zabývá konkrétní reakcí OSN a EU a lidskoprávními nástroji, jež obě organizace využily v reakci na daný problém. The bachelor thesis deals with international reaction to the violation of human rights in the form of caste discrimination in India. The main aim of the thesis is to identify instruments of the human rights policy used towards India by two international governmental organizations, namely the United Nations (UN) and the European Union (EU). The first part of the thesis concerns with theoretical definition of the human rights policy instruments. To better understand the issue of caste discrimination, in the second chapter the thesis looks at the caste system in India and the Indian legislation related to castes. Next chapters study specific reactions of the UN and the EU and the instruments that have been applied by both organizations.
