Cílem této diplomové práce je vytvořit přehled holistického pojetí domácí paliativní péče v kontextu sociální práce. Součástí tohoto přehledu je zjištění potřeb osob v terminálním stadiu života, dilemata, před která je rodina v konečné fázi života svého blízkého postavena. Jednotlivé kapitoly diplomové práce obsahují popis potřeb umírajících i neformálních pečujících a poukázat na význam rodinného prostředí pro zvládání obav spojených se smrtí. Součástí kvalitativního šetření provedeného pomocí polostruturovaných rozhovorů je zjištění potřeb umírajících i pečujících, dilemat pečujících v rozhodování se o volbě formy zajištění péče o svého blízkého a mapování informovanosti pečujících o možnostech podpory z oblasti sociální práce. The aim of thesis is to create an overview of the holistic concept of domestic palliative care in the context of social work. This overview includes identification of the needs of people in the terminal stage of life and the dilemmas that families face in the final stage of the lives of their loved ones. The individual chapters of this thesis describe the needs of the dying and informal caregivers, and they point out the importance of the family environment for coping with death-related concerns. The qualitative survey carried out via semi-structured interviews includes identification of the needs of the dying and caregivers, the dilemmas of caregivers in making decisions about choosing the form of care for their loved ones, and mapping the awareness of caregivers about the possibilities of social work support.
