Numerical simulation of the 2D channel flow with rough walls was carried out by means of the commercial code FLUENT 6.1. Results were compared with experimental data for rough wall modelled by abrasive paper with grit of 60. The effect of the computational grid on velocity profiles near the wall and on the friction coefficient was tested. Numerická simulace proudění ve 2D kanále s drsnými stěnami byla provedena pomocí komerčního programu FLUENT 6.1. Výsledky byly porovnány s experimentálními daty pro drsnou stěnu tvořenou smirkovým papírem se zrnitostí 60. Byl testován vliv výpočetní sítě na rychlostní profily blízko stěny a na součinitel tření.
