Modely turbulence jsou vesměs odvozovány za předpokladu, že turbulentní Reynoldsovo číslo je dostatečně velké. Tato podmínka je splněna pouze v dostatečné vzdálenosti od stěny. V důsledku podmínky „bez skluzu“ (no slip) na stěně je nutné v té části turbulentní mezní vrstvy, která bezprostředně obklopuje povrch uvažovat molekulární viskositu. V příspěvku jsou popsána následující řešení tohoto problému: s pomocí tzv. funkce stěny, modifikací pohybových rovnic a zavedením modelu, který popisuje koherentní struktury v blízkosti stěny. Models of turbulent flow are derived under assuption that the turbulent Reynolds number is high. This assumption is fulfilled far from the wall. Because of non-slip condition on the wall it is necessary to take into account the molecular viscosity near the surface. Following solution of this problem are described by: wall function method, equation of motion modification and simple model of coherent structure near the wall introduction
