Bakalářská práce je rozdělena na teoretickou a empirickou část. Teoretická část objasňuje místo kondiční ergoterapie mezi volnočasovými aktivitami domova pro seniory. Cílem kvalitativního šetření v empirické části je zjistit, jakým způsobem naplňuje potřeby klientů mužů zapojení do pánské dílny. První kapitola se zabývá pojmy stárnutí a stáří se zaměřením na potřeby seniorů. Druhá kapitola se věnuje popisu domova pro seniory a možností přístupu k volnočasovým aktivitám v domově pro seniory. Třetí kapitola popisuje pojem ergoterapie se zaměřením na kondiční ergoterapii a její využití v domově pro seniory. Stěžejními potřebami, jež jsou naplňovány skrze účast v pánské dílně, se zdají být: potřeba sounáležitosti se skupinou, potřeba životního cíle, potřeba vědomí vlastní hodnoty, potřeba stimulace, potřeba zachování kontinuity životního příběhu, potřeba citové vazby. The thesis is divided into a theoretical and an empirical part. The theoretical one explains the position of fitness ergotherapy among leisure activities. The aim of the qualitative survey of the empirical part is to figure out how ergotherapy fulfils the needs of home's clients, especially men - how they engage in the workshop activities. The first chapter describes the concepts of aging and old age, it focuses on the needs of seniors. The second chapter describes the home for the elderly and possibilities of leisure activities. The third chapter deals with the concept of ergotherapy. It focuses on fitness ergotherapy and its use in such facilities. The main needs fulfiled through the activities in the men's workshop are apparently socializing, life goal, stimulation, selfesteem, life continuity and emotional relationship among the clients.
