Bakalářská práce se zabývá tzv. beatnickou generací, jejím vznikem, tvorbou, filozofií a životem autorů. Zaměřena je na zakládající osobnosti ve Spojených státech amerických a osobnosti, jež měli větší ohlas v dobovém Československu. Součástí bakalářské práce je také rozbor dobového kontextu v obou zemích. Práce dále předkládá reflexi těchto autorů v Československém kontextu a překlady jejich prací. V závěru se práce soustředí na československé autory, které lze zařadit jako beatniky. The bachelors thesis deals with genesis, work, philosophy and life of the authors of the Beat generation. It is focused on the founding representatives in the United States of America and the representatives who had more extensive echo in this period in Czechoslovakia. Part of the thesis is analysis of historical context of both countries. The thesis is representing reflection these authors in Czechoslovakian context and translation of their work. In closing the thesis focuses on Czechoslovak authors who could be classified as beatniks.
