Cílem diplomové práce Tematizace problému dohledu a moci v kinematografii je představit teorii moci Michela Foucaulta, a tu doplnit o další teorie dohledu s ohledem na elektronický věk (Surveillance studies). Tyto teorie společně s hypotézou jsou následně aplikovány na kvalitativní analýzu vybraných snímků s tematikou dohledu. Výsledkem práce má být zjištění, jaká je kinematografická reflexe problematiky dohledu a moci, tedy de facto obraz teorie a praxe dohledových studií (s důrazem na uplatňování moci v institucích jako jsou vězení, nemocnice, škola či pracovní prostředí, tedy heterotopická "místa jiného") v hraných filmech. Práce ukáže, k jakému vývoji došlo v posledních 30 letech i kvůli nástupu internetu, který je také jistou formou instituce. Práce operuje s hypotézou, že ve filmech s tematikou dohledu je zřetelně patrná paralela vývoje koncepce uplatňování moci od "těla jako stroj" (M. Foucault) k "mizejícím tělům" (D. Lyon). Výběr filmů, které jsou analyzovány jen z pohledu jejich zobrazování dohledu, se převážně opírá o seznam filmů s problematikou dohledu od německého teoretika D. Kammerera. Zároveň je cílem onen seznam doplnit o jiné příklady filmů. Klade totiž hlavní důraz na tzv. technologický dohled i na snímky žánru sci-fi. Zkoumaným obdobím je posledních 30 let (1984-2014). The goal of this thesis The thematization of the issue of surveillance and power in cinematography is to introduce Michael Focault's theory of power, and add to it with other theories of surveillance with regard to the electronic age (Surveillance studies). Subsequently these theories and hypothesis are applied to qualitative analysis of chosen films with the theme of surveillance. Findings should show the cinematographic reflection of the issue of surveillance and power, de facto depiction of theory and practice of surveillance studies (emphasising the use of power in institutions like prison, hospital, school or working environment, which are heterotopic "other spaces") in live-action movies. The thesis shows development within the past 30 years which took place also due to the existence of internet, which is a kind of institution too. Hypothesis: it is obvious in films with surveillance theme that the concept of the use of power is evolving from "body as a machine" (M. Foucault) to "disappearing bodies" (D. Lyon). The choice of films is analysed only with regard to their depiction of surveillance, is mainly based on the list of movies with surveillance theme constructed by a German theorist D. Kammerer.
