Předkládaná práce se soustředí na souvislost mezi body image (postojem k vlastnímu tělu) a somatotypy u české studentské populace. Předchozí studie ukázaly souvislost mezi body image a BMI, avšak somatotypy popisují tělesnou morfologii detailněji, neboť popisují množství tělesného tuku (endomorfní složka), míru rozvinutí svalů a robustnost kostí (mesomorfní složka) a relativní délku končetin vzhledem ke zbytku těla (ektomorfní složka). Naší studie se zúčastnilo 71 žen a 70 mužů, kteří po internetu vyplnili baterii dotazníků (Multidimensional Body-Self Relations Questionnaire pro určení body image; Test siluet podle Dosedlové pro zjištění spokojenosti s vlastním tělem; Rosenbergovu sebehodnotící škálu pro určení sebehodnocení (self-esteem) , State-Trait Anxiety Inventory - T pro zjištění míry anxiety; a Beckův inventář deprese - II na zjištění míry depresivity. Probandi byli dále antromometricky změřeni a pomocí metody Cartera a Heath (1990) byli přiřazeni k určitému somatotypu. Celkem bylo ve výzkumném souboru nalazeno 5 somatotypů u mužů (endomorf, mesomorf, ektomorfní mesomorf, mesomorf-ektomor a ektomorf) a 6 somatotypů u žen (endomorf, endomorf-mesomorf, mesomorf, mesomorf- ektomorf, ektomorf a centrální typ). Výsledky všech dotazníků byly poté statisticky porovnány mezi jednotlivými... This thesis focuses on the relationship between body image and somatotypes in the young Czech student population. Previous studies have shown a relationship between body image and BMI, notwithstanding, somatotypes describe body morphology in a more detailed way. Somatotypes describe the amount of body fat (endomorphy), the amount of muscle mass and the robustness of bones (mesomorphy), and the length of arms and legs relative to the rest of the body (ectomorphy). Seventy-one women and seventy men participated in our study. They completed a battery of questionnaires (The Multidimensional Body-Self Relations Questionnaire; The Body Figure Scale of Dosedlová et al., 2008; Rosengerg's self-esteem scale; State-Trait Anxiety Inventory - T; and Beck's Depression Inventory - II). Then they underwent an anthropometric measure of somatotype components (endomorphy, mesomorphy, and ectomorphy) according to Carter and Heath's anthropometric method and were assigned to a certain somatotype. In our sample, there were 5 somatotypes in men (endomorph, mesomorph, ectomorphic mesomorph, mesomorph-ectomorph and ectomorph) and 6 somatotypes in women (endomorph, endomorph- mesomoroph, mesomorph, mesomorph-ectomorph, ectomorph and the central type).
